Africa Climate Summit 2023

Join RMI’s Ije Ikoku Okeke and Suleiman Babamanu at the Inaugural Africa Climate Summit (ACS) where they will speak about opportunities to invest in renewable energy infrastructure, essential to accelerate decarbonization, expand access to clean energy, and enhance grid resilience. Kenya will co-host the inaugural ACS with the African Union Commission in Nairobi, September 4–6, 2023. To advance solutions for climate change in Africa the summit will bring together leaders from the region and beyond. They will explore the nexus between climate change, Africa’s development reality, and the need to push for increased investment in climate action globally. The event is organized in parallel with Africa Climate Week (ACW), taking place September 4–8 and also hosted by Kenya.
