About This Event

This webinar is hosted by the Global Cooling Efficiency Accelerator to share the results and learnings from our recently concluded field testing of room air conditioners in India.

Over the past year, the CEPT University and RMI teams, in collaboration with Lodha Group and supported by the Clean Cooling Collaborative, conducted a study in Palava City near Mumbai. This study compared the real-life performance of market-available room ACs with super-efficient room AC prototypes that are optimized for real-world conditions. The work provides critical evidence on the energy impact of overcooling for typical ACs when operated to maintain comfort conditions (at or below 27°C and 60 percent relative humidity) in the space as well as demonstrates the substantial energy savings, impact on peak demand, and reduced energy bills and lifecycle emissions from the adoption of superefficient ACs.

During the webinar, we share a presentation on the findings from this field-testing study, followed by a moderated Q&A session.
