Eshan Gupta
Associate
Eshan is an associate on RMI’s Electricity team. His work centers around supporting international energy leaders in making decisions around grid flexibility, generation mix, and long-term energy planning to help scale and maintain renewable-powered electricity grids in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).
Background
Before joining RMI, Eshan was a Senior Associate at L.E.K. Consulting, where he advised clients on Energy and Environment strategy cases, including offshore wind development, hydrogen mobility solutions, and power optimization for data centers navigating rising electricity demand.
Before L.E.K., Eshan was a Fulbright-Nehru Scholar affiliated with the School of Public Policy at IIT Delhi, where he conducted independent research on solar microgrid deployment across rural north India, working to understand the structural and economic gaps driving unequal electricity access. He has also gained experience in public sector settings, including work on Capitol Hill focused on environmental policy.
