Thursday · July 30, 2026

Virtual Virtual

Gas line extension allowances have been phased out in California, Colorado, and Washington, and utility regulators considering this policy change elsewhere are interested in understanding potential impacts. RMI analyzed housing and fuel choice data for the three first-mover states to assess what trends — if any — have emerged following the elimination of this policy. In this webinar, we will walk through the early data and discuss the trends so far. We’ll share what the early data suggests about the impacts of eliminating gas line extension allowances, and discuss the implications for states considering similar policies.
