COP26 Action Plan

Toward a Digitally Native GHG Protocol

By Paolo Natali

Jump to Section

To confront the challenges of climate change, we must address the environmental impact of the goods and services we use daily, with markets built on quality information and objective data to create real change in supply chain operations and market dynamics.

The first Horizon Zero insight brief lays out our vision to make carbon emissions visible via harmonized carbon accounting, a digital representation of emissions, and clearly defined carbon market rules: a “digitally native” way to disclose emissions. Subsequent briefs go into detail for each of these fundamental steps toward making all supply chain emissions visible and traceable from raw material extraction to the product level.
