Selim is an Associate in the Global South Program, where he focuses on the clean energy transition in the Southeast Asia region.
Prior to RMI, Selim was part of the Energy and Utilities team at PA Consulting, where he analyzed US wholesale power markets. Specifically, he focused on capacity markets to assess how the ever-changing policy landscape affected the value proposition of a variety of power generation assets. He also modeled the electric power markets for regions across North America including wholesale power, capacity, and REC price forecasting, analyzing state climate targets as well. In his graduate studies, Selim worked on designing a microgrid for a small farming community in Puerto Rico.
