As the Director of New Initiatives & Partnerships at RMI, Mai works closely with Program, Strategy and Development teams to identify and pursue opportunities for meaningful collaboration with philanthropic, corporate, governmental and nonprofit counterparts. Serving as an internal thought partner across RMI programmatic teams, she helps articulate a compelling case for support and narrative for new and timely initiatives that RMI seeks to incubate and launch. She also works across all of RMI’s revenue verticals to shape strategic funding conversations in service of RMI’s mission and multi-year priorities.

Background

Mai brings more than a decade of experience building and implementing growth and partnership strategies for international nonprofits. Prior to RMI, she helped operationalize new business development teams and spearheaded in-country projects while based in Latin America and Southeast Asia.

Mai is fluent in Vietnamese, Spanish, French and Portuguese.
