Joaquin is an Associate on the America Is All In team within the US Program at RMI. America Is All In is the largest US coalition of leaders in pursuit of climate action. Its mission is to take a whole-of-society approach to solving the climate crisis, in collaboration with the federal government.

Currently, Joaquin is primarily working on developing technical assistance and communications materials to support the action of America Is All In members to decrease emissions in transportation, electricity, and buildings. He also supports the analysis team to accelerate energy and climate action at the state level.

Background

Before joining RMI, Joaquin was a Research Assistant on the Carbon Management Research Initiative at the Center on Global Energy Policy. He worked on modeling the cost of alternative fuels for industrial processes.

Previously, he was a summer intern at RMI in the Carbon-Free Mobility Program, working on a project to accelerate the electrification of transportation network company fleets. Then, he worked as a fall intern, also at RMI, in the Urban Transformation Program by collecting and analyzing data for the Local Government Renewables Action Tracker.

In Chile, Joaquin worked on developing innovative and low-carbon technologies for the mining industry and industrial heat processes.
