Ella is an associate on RMI’s Carbon-Free Buildings Program, dedicated to expediting zero-carbon-aligned retrofit strategies across various project teams. Focused primarily on the Massachusetts market, Ella engages with stakeholders in the affordable multifamily building sector, such as building owners and local agencies, to facilitate retrofit projects that advance statewide decarbonization. Her work also involves research and stakeholder engagement in building climate resilience, as well as exploring innovative construction methods and technologies.

Background

Before joining RMI, Ella worked with the Urban Land Institute (ULI), contributing to the development of ESG initiatives in the commercial real estate sector and creating climate resilience resources for urban communities. She holds a BA in Environmental Studies, specializing in the convergence of environmental justice, urban planning, and development within the built environment. In addition, she gained experience working with various nonprofit organizations in her local New Hampshire community, concentrating on initiatives to alleviate energy burdens and support local food systems.
