Daniel is the strategic communications and social media specialist for RMI’s Global South Program. He works across the many Global South initiatives to create content and market on behalf of the Africa Energy Program, Islands Energy Program, Southeast Asia Program, Energy Transition Academy, Catalytic Climate Capital initiative, and Climate Finance Access Network.
Background
Daniel started at RMI in 2022 as a program assistant in the Global South program, specifically the Energy Transition Academy and Africa Energy Program. With a background in communications and marketing, he supported the Global South communications team with content creation and graphic design before moving full time to the communications team in 2024.
Prior to RMI, Daniel served as the events manager at the Environmental Defense Center, a nonprofit environmental law firm in Santa Barbara, CA, where he played a key role in their outreach and marketing strategies.
In his free time, Daniel plays the mandolin in his bluegrass band, Salty Strings.
