Brian leads the AI and Energy Center, which works to find the most impactful AI use cases in energy, remove barriers to their adoption, and realize positive benefits to energy systems at scale.
Background
At RMI, Brian has led initiatives on chemicals, refining, and low-carbon fuels within the Climate-Aligned Industries Program. He also supported the startup of Mark1, a project development ecosystem for commercial-scale cleantech. He served as Senior Strategist with the Global Industry Hub for one year before returning to RMI. Brian was previously the vice president of Product Management at Sphera, where he led the growth and strategic direction for the Environment, Health, Safety, & Sustainability business line. Brian also worked in engineering and environmental consulting, where he supported customers in multiple industries, including renewable energy, oil & gas, chemicals, power, manufacturing, and government. He was the cofounder and programs director of Cleantech Open, a business competition that finds, funds, and fosters cleantech entrepreneurs.
