Alex Mattia serves as RMI’s corporate development senior manager and is responsible for managing and developing RMI’s portfolio of corporate philanthropy funders. In collaboration with the Development team and RMI’s programmatic staff, Alex executes strategic partnerships with corporates to support the institute’s programs and initiatives.
Background
Prior to joining RMI, Alex spent five years working for the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS), based at the Bronx Zoo in New York City. Alex was a key member of WCS’s fundraising team, where she managed a portfolio of corporations and brands that supported WCS’s global conservation and urban wildlife parks through corporate sponsorships, cause-related marketing initiatives, and corporate foundation grants. Prior to WCS, Alex worked for an R&D genomic services company as both a key account manager and associate scientist processing DNA samples for sequencing.
