Adam oversees institutional crisis communications and leads communications for RMI’s electric sector and U.S. Policy programs, as well as VP3, the Virtual Power Plant Partnership.

Background

Adam is a veteran strategic communications leader with experience serving at the nation’s leading environmental and foreign policy organizations, in campaign management, and in the US House and Senate.

Adam came to RMI from the Sierra Club, the largest and oldest environmental organization in the United States, where he served as a senior communications department leader and national press secretary during the Obama, Trump, and Biden administrations. He also led the organization’s work on federal climate policy, legislation, national elections, and crisis communications. He served two terms as chair of the coordinating body for major environmental organizations’ senior communications staff.

Adam has been widely cited in major media outlets such as the Washington Post, Guardian, Bloomberg, The Hill, and the Associated Press, and maintains close working relations with leading climate and environmental reporters.
