Scaling Smart & Connected Cities

Is your city developing smart and connected districts or communities? If so, we’d like to hear from you.

Rocky Mountain Institute and the National Renewable Energy Lab (NREL) are working together to compile information and provide insights about connected communities. We’re interested in ‘smart and connected’ projects at the district and portfolio scale that include a combination of at least two of these strategies:

  • Renewable energy generation
  • Energy storage
  • Microgrids
  • Advanced controls and analytics
  • Grid interactive efficient buildings

In addition, RMI and NREL are offering technical assistance for one community to develop best practices for their smart, connected and high-performance community project.

Please take this short survey to let us know of your interest in this space. Or, email scoan@rmi.org for more information.
