Introducing the Massachusetts Carbon Dioxide Removal Study
Massachusetts is working aggressively to reach net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 and recognizes the role carbon dioxide removal (CDR) will need to play in achieving this target. To help the state better understand the potential for CDR, the Massachusetts Legislature has directed the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC) to develop a study of CDR opportunities within the state.
RMI was contracted to perform the study and engaged with the public over six months to spread awareness of the project and gather feedback. In this one-hour introductory webinar, we explained the contents of the study, presented a timeline of the report development, and requested suggestions from the audience on resources that will further inform the study.
We are conducting an online survey to collect written feedback from the public. Please submit the survey by Wednesday October 15 at 11:59 p.m. ET.
