Creating the Mobility Operating System of Tomorrow
How cities, citizens and industry can collaborate to enable the mobility revolution
New mobility has arrived. Today, twenty-one states have passed legislation to open the door to autonomous vehicle testing. EV prices and availability are improving, and the sharing economy is accelerating—all while cities grapple with congestion, pollution, affordability, and accessibility. We are on the cusp of a massive upheaval to the transportation system as we know it.
To help prepare for a beneficial future of shared, electric, connected, and autonomous mobility services, moovel Group and Rocky Mountain Institute invite you to an invitation-only, thought-provoking debate about one of today’s most pressing topics, featuring leading practitioners. Our goal is to spark a conversation during SXSW to inform policy and standards that will catalyze and accelerate commercialization and consumer adoption, and help prepare cities to future proof their mobility systems by capitalizing on new technologies and business models as quickly as possible.
Panelists:
- Hilary Norton, Executive Director at FastLA
- Jason JonMichael, Director of Shared Use Mobility, Austin Transportation Department
- Jules Kortenhorst, CEO of Rocky Mountain Institute
- Karina Ricks, Director at Department of Mobility and Infrastructure Pittsburgh
- Meg Merritt, Principal at Nelson Nygaard
- Nat Parker, CEO of Moovel
Moderated by: Jeff Wood, Founder of Overhead Wire and Talking Headways
Who will be there: industry and academic thought leaders, government officials, policy makers, transportation and mobility stakeholders, select media and cultural influencers.
Why you should attend: We are in the formative stages of a dramatic transformation.
