Andrea Mahieu

Andrea currently supports RMI’s Commodity Market Transformation Initiative. Her work focuses on reducing methane emissions from the oil and gas sector.
Background
Andrea’s background is at the intersection of sustainability and international development. She previously worked at ACDI/VOCA where she supported the implementation of several USAID-funded development programs. She also spent several years as a Research Specialist at the University of Michigan, School for Environment and Sustainability. Her research focused on energy transitions, climate resilience, and energy access in sub-Saharan Africa and Southeast Asia.
