Ali Rotatori
Manager
Ali leads Third Derivative’s industrial innovation programs, including the Industrial Innovation Cohorts and the Future Industries Partnership. She focuses on helping early-stage climate technology companies move from innovation toward deployment.
The Industrial Innovation Cohorts are a foundational effort to support 31 startups developing solutions across steel, cement, chemicals, and industrial heat. Through the cohorts, Ali’s team provides tailored support to help companies strengthen their commercialization pathways, engage with investors and corporate partners, and navigate the technical and market barriers that shape early deployment. The Future Industries Partnership, supported by HSBC, focuses on accelerating deployment pathways in high-growth regions such as Asia and the Middle East, where industrial growth and rapid urbanization will shape the world’s climate future.
Before joining Third Derivative, Ali worked on RMI’s Urban Transformation team, where she supported US cities in developing and implementing decarbonization strategies. She helped develop the City Renewables Accelerator, providing technical assistance and cohort-based support to cities navigating renewable energy procurement, utility engagement, energy policy, and implementation.
Ali also worked with RMI’s Business Renewables Center, now the Clean Energy Buyers Alliance, where she supported the growth of the corporate renewable energy procurement market through buyer education, tools, and resources. Across her work at RMI, Ali has supported more than 200 corporations and cities in advancing clean energy goals, contributing to more than 10 gigawatts of renewable energy procurement.
Ali has been with RMI since October 2016.
