Steven Jackson

Steven partners with leaders across RMI to navigate organizational design, workforce planning, performance management, talent strategy, employee engagement, compensation, change management, and complex employee relations. He advises leaders across multiple countries and program areas, translating organizational priorities into practical people strategies and helping teams operate effectively through growth and change.

Background

Steven served as Director of People & Culture at BookNook, where he helped scale the People function during a period of significant organizational growth. He supported a workforce spanning more than 40 states and multiple countries while building and strengthening programs across talent acquisition, learning and development, performance management, compensation and benefits, retention, succession planning, and DEIBJ. His work contributed to a more than 30-point increase in employee engagement and included developing leadership programs that reduced HR-intervention concerns by 60%.

Earlier in his career, Steven held HR leadership roles with Chipotle and other organizations, gaining experience across employee relations, talent management, organizational development, compliance, and HR operations. He is known for building trusted relationships with executives and employees alike, asking thoughtful questions, challenging leaders when needed, and bringing a bias for action to complex people challenges.
