Project Description:

The team feels that open ticketing and a universal fare standard are vital in order to grow ridership on shared services including transit and ensure that access to mobility is seamless rather than laborious. The team understands that shared services provide an opportunity to cut down on congestion in cities globally. This project team will work to identify market requirements for an open market standard (GTFS-F for fares), including guidelines, adoption tools, implementation oversight, and payment standards. The team’s objective is to expand market access, customer ease of use, and data sharing across agencies.
