Ije Ikoku Okeke

Ije is the Managing Director of RMI’s Global South Program, where she leads RMI’s programs in Africa and Global Islands, and heads institution-wide efforts to mobilize, scale, and catalyze finance in emerging markets.

Background

Ije brings over two decades of experience in private equity, infrastructure investments, and project development in the energy sector, where she has successfully originated and structured project finance, equity, and structured finance deals in excess of $3 billion at the International Finance Corporation, World Bank, Emerging Capital Partners, and CEC Africa Investment.

With a career devoted to fostering sustainable and inclusive growth across the United States and global emerging markets, Ije’s contributions and thought leadership have led to board roles at several infrastructure companies, advisory board and investment committee membership of several private equity funds, and an advisory role at The Rockefeller Foundation and MIT Energy Initiative through their Global Commission to End Energy Poverty.

She lives in Washington, D.C. with her family.
