Amber Gensterblum Holdren

Amber is the senior program operations manager for RMI’s Sectors and Systems teams. She has years of experience leading strategic operations, financial planning, and cross functional program execution within complex, mission-driven organizations.

She partners with executive leadership to drive operational excellence, workforce planning, budgeting, and organizational strategy across RMI. Her work focuses on optimizing RMI’s business management, managing multimillion dollar budgets, and translating financial and operational data into actionable business insights. She scales operational frameworks and supports large-scale transformation initiatives, with a strong focus on collaboration, continuous improvement, and stakeholder engagement.

Background

Amber started with RMI in 2019 as the Program Assistant for the Industry program, where she supported four executives and handled administrative tasks. In early 2021, she transitioned into the program coordinator role for the Climate Intelligence program.

Prior to joining RMI, Amber worked at SPIN, the ping-pong social club, as a manager and office coordinator for three years.
