Alexander Klonick

Alex is a former manager in the Climate-Aligned Industries program working on the Mission Possible Partnership. His primary focus was establishing operational systems and processes across all partners. He also supported the design and execution of multi-stakeholder events.

Background

He returned to RMI after spending two years starting up the Renewable Energy Buyers Alliance. Most recently he developed and won a grant to launch a new REBA Institute initiative, Beyond the Megawatt, which creates resources to align demand signal to enhance the net positive impacts of renewables. He also managed the member portal, led the bootcamp series, and assisted with the development of REBA’s Supply Chain program.

Alex joined REBA from RMI’s Business Renewables Center where he developed the market analysis platform, tracked and maintained the deal database, and assisted with the development of RMI’s Cities Renewables Accelerator and Pembina Institute’s BRC Canada.

Prior to RMI, he worked at a vehicle telematics startup company, co-founded the North American Coalition for Insect Agriculture, consulted on the development of an online water conservation tool for agricultural stakeholders in the Colorado River Basin, taught English as a second language, and volunteered on an Engineer’s Without Borders project in Panama.

In his spare time, you can find him designing a tiny home, cooking, birding, or exploring the outdoor experiences Colorado has to offer.
