Ruoyao is an Associate with RMI’s Global Climate Finance program. Her work currently focuses on accelerating green bank formation and coal capital transition.
Ruoyao joined RMI in 2018 after receiving her Master’s degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). Aside from focusing her graduate studies on energy and finance, Ruoyao also gained experience in the intersection by working with institutional investors in DC on economic and investment analysis, and with Toyota Mobility Foundation on sustainable transport. Prior to SAIS, Ruoyao worked mostly in journalism, most recently as a researcher with the New York Times, reporting on supply chain management of multinational companies.
