Raquel Soat is a senior associate on the India Program team helping to accelerate India’s transition to a clean energy economy. She works primarily on transitioning India’s transportation sector to a shared, electric, and connected mobility system. Raquel supports the team with EV policy design, fleet electrification strategy, stakeholder engagement, and other market research and technical work. She joined RMI in March 2021.
Background
Prior to joining RMI, Raquel led the EV research service at Guidehouse Insights where she focused on global EV market research, transportation forecasting, consumer behavior surveying, and evaluating EVSE programs for North American electric utilities.
In an academic setting, Raquel has worked in a research lab focusing on the climate impacts of fertilizer usage in the agriculture sector. She also conducted a capstone project in graduate school surrounding commercial solar financing in Colorado.
