Rachel Huang is the Director of Energy Strategy, Research & Development at the Sacramento Municipal Utility District. In this role she oversees the development of strategy for new business models, demonstrations, and evolution of utility functions in the face of an increasingly distributed energy future. Rachel has worked at SMUD for 14 years, including previously as Director of Customer Retail Strategy. Prior to SMUD she worked at Proctor & Gamble as a Senior Product Development Engineer. She earned a BS in Chemical Engineering at Cornell University and an MA in International Relations from John Hopkins University.
