Pete O’Connor

Energy Analyst at Union of Concerned Scientists

Peter O’Connor recently concluded a post-doctoral fellowship with the Union of Concerned Scientists. In his role, he researched the most effective ways to integrate solar power and electric vehicles into the electricity system.Prior to his time at UCS, he conducted research on energy and environmental issues for the Global Environment & Technology Foundation in Arlington, VA. His clients included the US Environmental Protection Agency, the Department of Energy, states, companies, and non-governmental organizations. He also conducted research for the World Bank, the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners, and other clients.Dr. O’Connor received a Ph.D. in geography from Boston University. He holds an M.S. in geothermal engineering from Stanford University and a B.A. in physics from Harvard University.
