Osa is a manager with RMI’s Africa Energy Program. He leads the development and implementation of viable DER business models in Nigeria to enable access to reliable, affordable, and clean electricity.
Background
Osa has diverse experience in the power and energy sectors spanning various elements of the value chain: development of minigrids and microutilities, large-scale power generation, utility power distribution and automation, technical sales, and energy brokering and advisory services. Prior to joining RMI, Osa worked with utilities such as Duke Energy and Exelon Corporation in the United States as a senior engineer and a senior project manager. In Nigeria, he worked with startups in the clean energy space and All On, a clean energy impact investor. Some of his notable achievements in Nigeria include spearheading the development of commercial investment cases and implementation of pilots for minigrids, battery-as-a-service for rural communities and market-focused microutilities across Nigeria.
