Meral is an associate with RMI’s Carbon-Free Buildings team. Her work centers around energy efficiency and demand management, affordable multifamily housing, and building decarbonization policy.

Background

Before joining RMI, Meral was a research analyst with the Sierra Club’s Environmental Law Program, where she analyzed data on electric vehicles and coal plants and supported legal briefing for cases in the US Court of Appeals. She also pursued a Master’s in Data Science at UC Berkeley, where she developed statistical and machine learning models to analyze and predict environmental trends.
