Maxine Chikumbo

Maxine Chikumbo is a former program marketing lead for the Global South Program. She supported the team with marketing strategy and implementation, digital communications, and branding efforts to increase online visibility and impact for the Africa Program and Energy Transition Academy (ETA).

Background

Before joining RMI as a communications and digital marketing specialist, Maxine worked with various research and mission-based organizations, including the World Resources Institute (WRI), American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE), Girl Up Initiative Uganda, and the International Support Network for African Development (ISNAD-Africa). She strived to advance public awareness, program goals, and policy support through social media marketing, outreach efforts, and strategic partnerships while conducting research, audience analytics, and event coordination.

Maxine is passionate about climate action, energy access, and the clean energy transition. She is also a Clean Energy Leadership Institute alumna.
