Matt Lehrman started with the city as the Energy Strategy Coordinator in July 2015. His work focuses on three areas: financial analysis, rate design and power supply issues related to the Boulder’s efforts to create a municipal electric utility, advancing the city’s Climate Commitment objectives at the Public Utilities Commission and developing an electric mobility strategy for the city.Before coming to the City, Matt worked in the electricity practice at Rocky Mountain Institute, focused on regulatory and new utility business model issues. Prior to RMI, he worked for Westar Energy, focused on smart grid, distributed generation and electric transportation programs for the company.
