James Sun

James is a former associate in the Climate-Aligned Industries’ Cement and Concrete team.

Background

James coauthored two book chapters and a few articles on Asian–American history and was invited to speak at conferences, including a symposium at the Library of Congress about the Federal Writers’ Project and a conference on Southeast American history.
He taught English to middle schoolers in South Korea for a year-long Fulbright Fellowship, in addition to middle school ESL, Algebra, and Computer Science. James also mentored students on the college application process each year, tutored over 1,000 hours in various subjects.
He was a research analyst at Yale Office of Sustainability, crafting sustainability action plans for each residential college and other departments and serving as a data analyst for Data-Driven EnviroLab, where they coauthored a Nature paper on climate change data and for Yale Program on Climate Change Communication, where they analyzed survey data and authored an article on climate security.
