Gabe Petlin, Supervisor, Grid Planning and ReliabilityCalifornia Public Utilities Commission (CPUC)Gabe joined the CPUC Energy Division in 2011. In his current role he leads the section responsible for several high-impact CPUC proceedings including: Energy Storage OIR, Distributed Resource Plans, and Rule 21 Interconnection. Previously Gabe worked in the Retail Rate Design and Customer Generation Sections at CPUC where he focused on several rate setting and rate policy proceedings including: the residential rate reform OIR (AB 327), NEM Successor Tariff (AB 327), NEM aggregation (SB 594), and green tariff shared renewables (SB 43).Prior to joining the CPUC, Gabe accumulated 12+ years of experience leading regulatory policy, business development and government affairs for renewable energy organizations that include: 3Degrees, Center for Resource Solutions, and the National Wind Coordinating Collaborative. Gabe earned dual masters at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy (MALD) and Tufts University, Urban and Environmental Policy and Planning (MA). He holds a BS in Natural Resources from the University of California at Berkeley.
