François is an associate with RMI’s Climate-Aligned Industries Program, where he works within the Carbon Dioxide Removal Initiative (CDRi) team. His research focuses on the different CDR approaches, roadmapping, innovation dynamics, deployment bottlenecks, and industry implementation challenges.

Background

François has a background in engineering with a focus on energy and climate. He specializes in renewable energy, climate policy and economics, energy economics, and resource management. His master’s thesis focuses on potential solutions to energy poverty challenges in rural areas.

Prior to joining RMI, François worked as a climate technology analyst at Paris Sciences Lettres University (Ecole des Mines), where he was part of the think tank Zenon Research. He conducted several studies on low-carbon technologies and organized conferences for a wide range of decision makers. He worked on various low-carbon technologies with a strong focus on CDR and carbon capture, including other projects on ammonia, hydrogen, and mining.
