Elena is a rotational associate at RMI’s Climate-Aligned Industries Program. She provides strategic support and data analysis for the Hydrogen team.

Background

Prior to RMI, Elena worked with the Clean Energy Leadership Institute (CELI) as a fellowship associate for its National Pacific/Mountain Fellowship. Her main responsibilities were fellowship management, facilitating clean energy professionals, and engaging with external stakeholders.

Before her time with CELI, Elena worked for a year with the city of Chelsea in Michigan as a graduate student consultant focused on the feasibility of a 1 MW solar project in the community. Her primary focus areas included researching best practices, creating subscription model options, investigating low-to-middle income considerations and environmental impact, and managing stakeholder engagement. She was the project lead for the final six months of the feasibility study.

In 2020, Elena co-taught a graduate-level course on energy justice at the University of Michigan with Dr. Tony Reames.
