Devra Wang is the director of the Climate and Clean Energy program at the Heising-Simons Foundation. Prior to joining the Foundation in 2016, she served as program director at the Energy Foundation, focusing on U.S. power sector issues. She also served as the director of the California Energy Program at the Natural Resources Defense Council for more than a decade, advocating for policies to ensure consumers receive affordable, reliable, and environmentally sensitive energy services. Devra was instrumental in securing several groundbreaking policies, including California’s statewide greenhouse gas emissions limit (AB 32) and the state’s leading utility energy efficiency commitments. She holds a master’s and bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley.
