Chiel Borenstein

Chiel serves as an Operations and Partnerships Associate at He recently graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Environmental Economics and Policy. Chiel’s interest in sustainability began his sophomore year of college. During his time at Cal, he has worked with his fraternity, student consulting groups, and the student government to make the campus more sustainable. Under the instruction of distinguished professors like David Anthoff and Jonas Meckling, he has been exposed to a gamut of environmental policy, natural resource economics, and climate modeling. After a successful summer internship with an environmental startup, Chiel found his true passion: clean technology. He plans to continue working towards this interest through sustainability consulting for high-emission companies and business development/operations for clean tech non-profits.
