A number of prominent Americans, including former Vice President Al Gore and Texas billionaire T. Boone Pickens, have recently proposed radical changes in the way we generate and use electricity in the United States. What will it take to create a low- or no-carbon electric system? Can the nation meet its electricity needs solely from energy efficiency, renewable sources, and distributed generation? And what role might electric-drive vehicles play in enabling this future?
Join Rocky Mountain Institute’s Amory Lovins and Michael Brylawski, and their guests Roy Palmer of Xcel Energy, Tom Dinwoodie of SunPower, and David Brewster of EnerNOC, Inc. as they explore the technical path toward a low-carbon electrical system. They will also discuss the potential barriers and key enablers necessary to transform ideas into powerful, viable solutions.
